Thanks for the kind messages regarding the confession.
Here is my noob attempt at participating in dArama.
You can see the original confession here: [link]
Lol, I don't know what to say? xD
I agree with Anon. My artwork is sloppy and it does look like sketches, ahaha.
I also don't know why my art gets the exposure it does, but I wouldn't call it popular.
What people like is out of my control, aha.
And silly Anon, why would you use that picture lah?
It's probably one of the sloppiest works in my gallery.
Why not use this picture ah?

or these ones:

If all my work looked like the picture in the confession,
surely I wouldn't have all the watchers that I do now.
And some people like my sloppy work.
Some people even said I've inspired them to use their sketches as lineart.
I get more requests for a lineart tutorial then anything else --I DON'T KNOW WHY EITHER, KAY.
Oh my goodness, I think I am spreading laziness, aiya! x'D
But it's okay for people to like messy lineart if they like messy lineart.
I understand that it might annoy some people that my 'sketches' get more exposure than more amazing works on dA,
but what do you want me to do about it, aiya;;
This isn't the first time this issue has been brought up.
And so, I'm going to address this:
Yes, my artwork is messy.
And yes, I don't put as much effort into my art as I could.
I've seen a lot of confessions that go along the lines of this:
"BAWWWW I HATE IT WHEN ARTISTS DON'T TRY TO IMPROVE THEIR ART. THEY SHOULD JUST STOP IF THEIR NOT GOING TO MAKE AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE. OMG, THIS ARTIST DOESN'T PUT IN ANY EFFORT AND SAYS THAT ART IS 'JUST FOR FUN.' I'M GOING TO POO MY PANTS. THIS IS MY 100TH POO-STAIN THIS MONTH, OMG. THESE ARTISTS BETTER STOP DRAWING BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY ANYMORE PANTS. SOMEBODY GET ME A DIAPER."
Anyway, not everybody that draws wants to go to art school and become an artist or animator, okay?
Some people do just do art for fun. Why does that bother you?
I'm sorry if your 'passion' is only a 'hobby' to other people, but don't force others to adopt your raison d'ętre.
This is a picture I drew in in August of last year.
Many of you would have never seen this because this was before I started to gain a lot of exposure.
Do you see those lines? You can just barely see them right? Total opposite of the lineart in the top picture hahaha
Lineart started to get so boring for me. So.. I stopped. LOL. I'm not going to keep on doing something I don't like, come on now, that's silly.
I was also sick of spending 1209833 hours on a picture, only to notice 2190832 mistakes after I post it LOL OTL;;.
Whereas now, if I see mistakes in finished work, it only took me over an hour, so it's not like a lot of time was lost.
Maybe it's a bad way to look at things, but whatever. It floats my boat yo. You're free to jump off.
But yes. If you ignore the creepy face and wobbly arms, it looks like my art has done the opposite of improve. And I'm okay with that.
This past year I've had to make many sacrifices. And my goal for improving art was one of them.
So yeah, I have chosen quantity over quality.
But look: I have improved a little, no?:

Both pictures took the same amount of time.
Looking back at the year,
drawing 50 pictures rather than spending 50 hours on one picture is what helped me improve even when I wasn't trying.
So yeah.
I HAVE MESSY WORK.
AND I EMBRACE IT.
And so do others, apparently.

seriously, this artist confession thing is still at it?!
LOOOOOL really, wasting all their time accusing people's art, and not spending any time doing their own, woooow.
But just ignore them and stay strong! I think your sketchy lines actually makes your art look cuter ;u; being cute and a little clumsy is an effect I particularly enjoy of yours~
I love your clean lines as well~
Don't give up, just keep moving forward and push aside every insult or anything that blocks your way ;7;
thats jsut really stupid
out of all of thsoe they choose that picture? LOOOOOL
ugh...
anyway Emi chan stay stong <33
I like both your previous art and current art, but it's better to do the one you like, right? And you've definitely improved since then, in many ways.
So...it doesn't matter if your art's sketchy, because many people like it that way. And apparently you do as well, so...just laugh in their face like
THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY DAY. <3
Even though I like clean line art more~
